I'm just getting into the WWII figures...

So please correct me if there are any errors found!

AVG (Flying Tigers) P-40 pilot, by Dragon

The American Volunteer Group (Flying Tigers) were US Army, Navy, and Marine Corps pilots who volunteered to fly in China and Burman during 1941 and 1942. They flew their P-40 Warhawks in some of the most difficult situations, and shot down over 300 planes while losing only 12 P-40's in combat

442nd Regiment rifleman, by Dragon

After the Pearl harbor attack, Japanese Americans were treated most unfairly; incarcerated in camps & branded as traitors. On Feb 1, 1943, President Roosevelt activated the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, an all Japanese-American (or Nisei) unit. They went on to show what patriots they really were

This is stock "Yoshi" gear & uniform, only on a "Ray" action figure.

USAAF B-17 Bomber Captain, by Dragon

USAAF - United States Army Air Force, the parent of the modern USAF. The B-17 Flying Fortress is one of the most famous airplanes ever built. The aircraft served in every WW II combat zone.

USAAF P-40 Pilot (Pearl Harbor), by Dragon

On December 7, 1941 a large Japanese air armada attacked the U.S. Navy base at Pearl Harbor, and all of the nearby airfields. This is where the P-40 first defended American soil. Unfortunately, few American fighters were able to get into the air; most were destroyed on the ground. Two pilots, George Welch and Kenneth Taylor, managed to take off and shot down several Japanese planes.

Dragon named this figure "George Taylor", likely as an homage to the 2 heroic pilots.

RAF Fighter Pilot, by BBI

This pilot probably flew a Spitfire in The Battle Of Britain.

A chance meeting of rivals. They may not like each other's government's ideals, but there is respect of skill between the pilots.
