Navy SEALS...
Arguably the toughest of all special forces anywhere!

In 1962, President Kennedy, believing that the wars of the future would be low intensity conflicts such as guerilla wars and acts of terrorism, created an elite special forces unit to meet the enemy on his own turf. Experts in sea-air-land operations, they are known as...

Navy SEALs.

****Major thanks to my buddy AK1(AW/SW) for giving me a hand with ranks & ratings!!****

Navy SEALs: The motion picture (kitbash)

I based this team on the 1990s film starring Charlie Sheen & Michael Biehn. Whereas some parts of the movie seem a bit too Hollywood, it's all in all one of those films you can just keep watching over & over again. It had very good SEAL action, they did insertions via submarine, HALO dive, and helicopter. Rent it if you haven't seen it, then again the DVD is only 10 bucks... buy it!

Curran

Lt. James Curran

The Assault Force Commander. He's in overall tactical command of the operation. He is in communication with the Task Unit HQ with his PRC-117 (carried by his radioman), and the sniper element and shooters with his MX-300 UHF. The Commander usually patrols in the patrol leader's position, but will enter a room at the end of the "train" to be one step removed from the chaos of the initial entries and to better control his team.

Hawkins

LTJG Dale Hawkins

Breacher

Team hot-head.  Best diver on the team; they say he's part fish. He's also the breacher, so he's is responsible for forcing his way into closed spaces. The breacher uses specialized explosives called breaching charges, which are shape charges designed to be surgical in their force and send the preponderance of their blast forward into the room. He also carries a sledgehammer to use if explosives are not necessary, and a lock picking kit if stealth is preferred. A shotgun is also a good tool for blowing open locked doors.

Graham

BMCM Graham (Boatswains Mate Master Chief Petty Officer)

Shooter & Radioman

The Assault Force Radioman is a shooter with the added bonus of being in charge of making sure the Commander can talk to everyone at once! The Commander must be in constant contact with the sniper element, his element leaders and of course, the Task Unit Commander who will be relaying information and hounding the Assault Force Commander for information (not to mention probably trying to micromanage the op from his cozy office in the Tactical Operations Center). The Radioman stays within inches of the Commander at all times during the mission and is often the last to enter the hot zone

Leary

HM3 Leary (Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Petty Officer)

Navy Corpsman

The Corpsman is the medic on a SEAL squad. Although he, like everyone, is a shooter, when another shooter goes down, he becomes the medicine man and concentrates on saving the wounded man's life. Prior to the mission, he prepares a report on the possible medical hazards that may befall the team in their specific environment (besides gunshot trauma), and also prepares a plan in case a Med-Evac is necessary. All Corpsmen have attended Navy HM "A" school and the U.S. Army 18 Delta Medical Course which is eleven months in length. He possesses knowledge of triage, field surgery, suturing, resuscitation and other life-saving skills.
